The army on Thursday claimed to have killed four Lashkar-e-Toiba militants in an encounter in North Kashmir’s Vilgam area. One soldier was also killed in the overnight operation. This is the second encounter in the last 24 hours in the area.

“We have killed four LeT militants,” a top police officer told Newsblaze. “The operation has ended and we have recovered four bodies.”

The officer said that one army soldier was also killed during the operation.

On Wednesday, an HM militant and an army soldier died in an encounter in the neighbouring Rafiabad area.
