Diphu December 22: With the assembly elections knocking at the door, electorates of various localities of Karbi Anglong who had to get through the drawn out negligence and disregard of the ruling Congress party have now begun opposing the party overtly.

Many people in the area have declared that they would vote against Congress to avenge its betrayal of them.

The general public in the Madhabpur neighbourhood located within ward no 1 of Bokajan town formally declared before the media that they will dish up a fitting reply to Congress for ‘doing nothing’ for them within the last 15 years of their rule.

“You can see the condition of the PWD road in our area, here potholes do not exist in the roads … in fact the whole road is a deep hole. We are worn-out at these instant making appeals to the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council for renovation of this road but in the last fifteen years they failed to deliver anything to us except their saga of disregard and duplicity. Enough is enough. We have decided to boycott Congress in this election” said a troubled inhabitant of Madhabpur community.
