Srinagar:

Ten people were wounded after a grenade exploded near a mosque in the village of Trenz, in South Kashmir.

According to the Jammu&Kashmir police, all the people injured in the blast were coming out of the mosque after finishing morning prayers, around 05:30 am.

“It was an unattended grenade. When some people noticed it, they tried to remove and it and it went off,” a senior police official said. “The worshipers sustained minor injuries.”

The police official confirmed that ten people were injured in the incident in the Shopian district.

The injured were taken to the local hospital, for treatment. None were reported to be critically injured.
