Cycle of History Haunts People’s Republic of China

Diphu: With the present Presidential regime in the United State of America, the world has entered a phase of economic and financial unsteadiness. China is haunted by a cycle of history.

The old order of trade and commerce across the continents and international markets of commerce are highly turning sensitive to volatility and vulnerability.

Countries like Singapore are bracing for the impact on their domestic economy. At the same time, there cannot be any undesirable deterioration of diplomatic relationships between Singapore and the US of A.

China in Focus

The maximum proliferation of reciprocal tariff war is witnessed in the Sino American theatre; now, China’s reciprocal tariff rate versus the US stands at 134%.

This has some interesting developments in Sino-American diplomatic relationship; this borders on the expulsion and stopping the entry of the citizens of the USA from the territory of Tibet (Zizang.)

This may not be a knee-jerk reaction from the Chinese Authorities under Xi Jinping; because there are reasons to believe in return of American intervention in Tibet, following the Chinese occupation of Tibet (Xizang) in the 1950’s.

CIA Action

The Central Intelligence Agency or the CIA for short became active following the Chinese presence in Tibet. It recruited, formed, trained and armed a partisan Tibetan group named Chusi Gangdruk.

This armed group was initially trained in a secret base in the Rocky Mountain in West Virginia.

The volunteers were flown over Dhaka and Guwahati, then once crossing the Sino-Bhutan border, the volunteers parachuted down under a full moon night’s sky.

They survived to form the nucleus of the resistance group against the Chinese army, the PLA.

Dalai Lama

The daring escape of the present Dalai Lama from Tibet to Assam’s NEFA region was secretly covered by the volunteers of the Chushi Gangdruk.

The penetration of the intelligence agency into Peking, now Beijing, indicated the indifference of the Chinese Premier Chou En-Lai.

However, waves of Tibetan refugees followed, using the centuries-old route connecting Tsona Dzong to Bhairabkunda/Doimara via Tashigong.

India

This is a part of the old Manas route. Manas, in Tibetan were and are known as the Dang Me Chu. The acceptance of the Tibetan government in exile in India is quoted as one spark of many that caused the Sino-Indian border conflagration in October, 1962.

Nevertheless, the volunteers of Chusi Gangdruk were helpless as they were targeted by a pro-Chinese army consisting of Tibetan laborers because; specialized weapons never reached them from the CIA. The volunteers mostly belonged to the community of Khampas from south Tibet.

Shadows Return

Now the shadows are back. In another development, there has been an overt and covert move to go for massive conversion of animistic tribesmen bordering China in Arunachal Pradesh.

If or when successful, the belief system contiguity would be damaged and the tribes may not either help the Chinese or allow themselves to fall into Chinese entrapment. The axis of America -India- Israel is evident here.
