Guwahati, May 22 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning a trip to Assam. Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya, Assam’s Governor, on Sunday invited the coalition of BJP, AGP and BPF to form the next government after the three partners agreed to work together.
Sarbananda Sonowal, the leader of BJP’s legislature party, AGP president Atul Bora, BPF president Hagrama Mahilary and MLA’s of the parties meet the Assam Governor and staked their claim to form the next government.
A Raj Bhawan (Government House) official announced “After the claim of BJP, AGP and BPF, the Assam Governor invited the parties to form the next government in the state.”
The BJP won 60 seats in its own right, in the 126 member Assam assembly. The three-party coalition controls 86 seats.

Earlier, on Sunday, was of BJP legislature party.
The oath taking ceremony is scheduled for May 24 at Khanapara, Guwahati. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of BJP-led states, Yoga guru Ramdev, and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar are expected to attend.
