Diphu October25:    Thousands of people protested against the atrocity against the Hindu Bengali community in Bangladesh during the religious festival of Durga Puja by the majority Muslim community at Bakaliaghat around sixty five kilometers from Diphu last Saturday.

Netaji Youth Revolutionary Club of Bakulia organized the protest rally where thousands of local people vented their resentment against the act of violence perpetuated by the mainstream Muslim population of that Islamic nation.

People screamed protest slogans against Bangladesh premier Sheikh Hasina. ‘Sheikh Hasina Murdabad’, ‘Bangladeshi Mian Husiar’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were the popular choices of the demonstrators. The protestors demand safety and security of the Hindu community living in Bangladesh.

They called on the Bangladeshi government to arrest and punish all the rioters and organizations responsible for committing heinous crimes against the Hindu people who have been hopelessly outnumbered in that volatile nation.

Meanwhile Viswa Hindu Parishad of Howraghat also staged a similar protest march on October 22 evening in Howraghat town in remonstration against the attack on Hindus in Bangladesh.

“People of the Hindu community are being killed; their temples and homes have been attacked in Bangladesh; this should be stopped immediately. This inhuman and regrettable incident should not repeat at all” said General Secretary of VHP, Howraghat, Pandit Dutta. Vice president of VHP, Howraghat unit Brogen Chand and many others joined the protest rally.
