With so many journalists in India and the region, and following numerous requests, NewsBlaze decided to open up a new independent news site, NewsBlaze India. For the past few weeks, we have been talking with a small core group of contributors and selecting the platform and categories.
Contributors include Shib Shankar Chatterjee, Nava Thakuria, Sushanta Roy, and Hemanta Kumar Nath.
We are working on a logo, and trying various layouts.
We have mainly been discussing what readers want, how to involve readers, news angles, editors, training for journalists.
NewsBlaze India Launch Date
The plan is to launch NewsBlaze India in the first two weeks of August, 2015.
Focus
Initially, the news and other content will focus on India, expanding to other countries in the region over time.
Categories
The main categories will be India (obviously), NorthEast, Business, Politics, Photo Stories and Video. Entertainment, Health and Fun will be next.
