Diphu April 10: On April 7, Diphu CJM court First Class Magistrate, N.K Deka Barua issued an arrest warrant for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The reason for the arrest warrant was Kejriwal’s continual failure to appear before the court. There was an outstanding summons for his personal appearance in connection with a defamation case.
That defamation case was filed against him last year by Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Surya Rongphar.
The court warrant has now made it mandatory for Kejriwal to appear before the court in person on May 8. It is understood that most of the charges filed against Kejriwal are billable.
